The second piece that derived from a sketchbook piece. It changed slightly compositionally and got a whole lot bigger but other than that it remains fairly faithful.

I have nothing deep or provocative to say, but I just wanted to say that I like this one. I suppose it's annoying to hear, but for whatever reason I like the sketch better than the "finished" one.
It's not annoying at all. A perfectly valid opinion. The sketch was more immediate so it may come across as more fresh. I'm just happy to hear you responded well to either one. Thanks for the comment!
