A couple of sketches I did of the mighty Ennio Morricone for his 89th birthday. I didn't quite capture his likeness, but was happy with the way they came out anyway.

Social media slip ups
Ever since I used a Facebook account to thank the good people at The Von Haessler Doctrine for the kind words on my piece, I've been using it to post about things and ignoring this guy. Let's face it, I am not great at getting online and promoting on one, let alone two social media platforms. I did not post here that one of the pieces below was accepted and won an honorable mention in the Tannery Row fall juried exhibition.
There is an article about it in the local paper . It is an honor to be chosen and have folks see my work.

Why not a new comic too?
I have to admit that I nearly drove myself mad trying to get the guy I'm talking to in the fourth panel to look the way I vaguely remember him. Instead he kept coming out looking like my buddy Raphael featured in Strays because I miss that guy a lot. Finally I had to force myself to let it go.
VERY Pregnant Pause
I've once again managed to leave the blog neglected.
Let's start it back up with an image I did of The Von Haessler Doctrine crew. They were kind enough to feature it on their Facebook page (thanks for that).
If you have time for a podcast and like reasoned political discussion mixed with a heavy dose of humor then this show is for you.
