Iggy is 66!

I had attempted to make a painting last year for Iggy's official breaking of the senior barrier, but it went awry and I missed my chance to get back to it in time. To make up for it this year I made these ten images.  The first eight were created by doing 3-5 minute gestures from paused frames of the Raw Power Live: In the Hands of the Fans DVD and then inking the results. I wanted to try to capture gesture more than likeness which is usually my personal hang up. The results were hit and miss but good fun to do regardless.

 This one was done with piecemeal reference to several of Mick Rock's photos . Iggy circa 1972.

 And a directly referenced drawing based on a '72 Mick Rock photo of the Stooges in their second incarnation.
